I am currently reading an awesome book called ‘A girl with a one track mind’ which is the funniest book ever, kind of a cross between Bridget Jones Diary and a very dirty Porn. She really says how it is and has some friggin hilarious stories as well as making some damn good points like:
‘Men use love to get sex and women use sex to get love’.
This particular quote has puzzled me ever since I read it as, while I guess it could be true, it kind of doesn’t work out like that or make sense does it? Why would men go to all the bother of falling in love just for sex and isn’t it common knowledge that sex is supposed to die off after being in love for a long time anyway? And if women used sex to get love then surely she would never find love because she would be to busy having sex with everyone?! Or perhaps I have completely misinterpreted it? I guess maybe the saying is not supposed to be taken so literally and neither are the words ‘I love you’. Perhaps the saying should be:
‘Men say I love you to get you into bed, women get you into bed and say I love you’.
I suspect the bottom line to it all is men don’t really look at sex as a big deal and women do.
Men think about sex every 8 seconds and women think about love every 8 seconds.
So what happens to the world and to the male - female balance when it is the women who start thinking about sex every 8 seconds too? I personally think chaos is ahead. The way I see it, a huge role reversal is starting to happen. I went through a stage in my life where I really believed we never should have burnt our bra’s, we should have stayed in the kitchen and been the thoughtful wife…. it got me no where! Don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed most of it, but what ended up happening was he went off in search of the fun again and I was left with a very warped understanding of the myself and the world. I think this could be the whole problem with us all. If we were to all go back to how it used to be, where the man looks after the woman, the man is a man and a woman is a woman and all that, we would have to go back to a very boring fucked up world of afternoon tea and dressing up nice for supper! On the other hand if we continue in the way we are going then surely we are all going to end up old and lonely with serious liver problems not even being able to have a large glass of Pinot Grigio in the old people’s home we live in because they don’t have a bloody alcohol license!
If you take a step back and have a look at the state of things it is really quite concerning,
Men want women to:
- Look amazing,
- Cook great food
- Rub their backs
- Never moan,
- Never get emotional,
- Give blow jobs at half time .
- Make sure there is always beer in the fridge.
- Allow him to be with his mates when ever he wants.
- Always have (and want) sex,
Women want a man to:
- Look amazing
- Look after them
- Rub their backs
- Never moan
- Get emotional…. Ok not as often as us but at least sometimes, and not just about football!
- Buy them flowers and other pretty things
- Tell them they look amazing all the time.
- Be loved by and love hanging out with all her friends
- Have sex when they want to and not when they don’t!
The thing is though, all the above is in an ideal world and we are far from that….
An idle world perhaps!
Men are turning into women and women are turning into men, men have lost their balls and women have larger clitorises! Men get into bed without thinking and women think men into bed!!
So this all brings us back to the state of world, and that is obviously why I have been thinking about sex every 8 seconds…………..
What happens next is a mystery to me.
